Marc Hurley

Marc is Senior Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, Public Fixed Income for SLC Management. Marc is the co-lead of the Canadian Public Fixed Income desk, with primary responsibility for managing both the Canadian and U.K. Asset Liability Managed Public Fixed Income portfolios.

Marc has over 20 years of experience in financial markets at leading financial organizations in Canada, initially working at OMERS in private placement fixed income and then moving to Sun Life Financial where he held progressive positions within Credit Research.

In his current role, Marc oversees all funding and hedging of liabilities, duration management and managing a large CAD, U.K. and USD credit portfolio. Marc also manages several strategies including credit default swaps, Long-Short overlays, Bond Forwards and Repo strategies.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University, a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from Schulich (York University). He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the Toronto CFA Society.
