Trevor Forbes is Managing Director, Public Fixed Income for Sun Life Capital Management (Canada) Inc., focusing on managing the Canadian Total Return Public Fixed Income Portfolios and supporting the SLC Management private fixed income funds.
Trevor has extensive industry experience at leading financial organizations in Canada. Prior to returning to Sun Life Financial in 2014, Trevor was Vice-President, Portfolio Manager, at a large asset management firm where he was responsible for managing passive fixed income mandates. Trevor also previously held roles as a fixed income trader and as a portfolios manager, where he managed the fixed income Ishare Exchange Traded Funds. His first role at Sun Life Financial was as a trader, where Trevor managed and traded a short asset-liability management book.
Trevor has a Master of Finance from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics & Finance, from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Toronto CFA Society.
