Tim Boomer is Senior Managing Director, Head of North American Business Development and Client Solutions, for SLC Management. As head of North American business development, Tim leads the development and implementation of the company’s growth strategy, strengthening relationships with our industry partners, institutional investors and affiliate businesses and teams within SLC Management. In heading client solutions, Tim leads the development of our client-facing value propositions, intellectual capital generation and asset-liability modeling capabilities. Tim is a member of the Institutional Business Leadership Team and is based in our Wellesley, Massachusetts office.
Tim joined the firm in August 2019 and brings more than 20 years of experience in actuarial, investment strategy and pension risk management. Before joining SLC Management, he was Senior Vice-President at Income Research and Management (IR + M), guiding its fixed-income solutions in areas of liability-driven investments. Prior to joining IR + M, Tim worked as an investment actuary in Mercer’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) business where he was responsible for its daily dynamic DB de-risking platform.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nottingham, U.K., in Mathematics. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, U.K. and the Society of Actuaries, U.S.
