Investment process

1.

Private credit
Crescent is a full spectrum direct lender with a robust, proprietary sourcing model. Their private credit team directly originates and invests in private equity-backed debt securities across the entire middle market capital structure, with historically low credit loss rates.

2.

Tradeable credit
The tradeable credit investment process is focused on rigorous credit research based on a comprehensive “bottom-up” analysis of credit merits and priority of downside risk protection. Thorough due diligence, including detailed financial analyses, management meetings, macroeconomic assessments, and internal roundtable reviews, is key to their credit-oriented review process that is both collaborative and decisive.

3.

Multi-asset
Crescent provides clients with a dynamic, collaborative, and transparent approach to constructing alternative credit portfolios. The multi-asset investment process includes the review of hundreds of transactions sourced annually from private equity sponsors and financial intermediaries, followed by multiple internal reviews, and investment committee approval.
