Paul Cruz is Head of Canadian Client Relationships for SLC Management and is responsible for building and maintaining trusted partnerships with clients.
Paul has over 15 years of financial services experience, with past roles spanning product development, strategy, mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. Prior to his current role, Paul served as Managing Director, Strategy for SLC Management, where he led strategic initiatives for the business and was a member of the SLC Senior Leadership Team. Prior to that, Paul was Assistant Vice President, Corporate Development at Sun Life where he worked in acquisitions, divestitures, venture investments, and strategic partnerships. Paul also previously led the Product team at SLC Management, helping launch the firm’s private fixed income strategies in North America.
Before joining SLC Management, Paul held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at Manulife Financial, including launching their private asset management business. Paul started his career in public accounting.
Paul earned an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Western Ontario. He is a CFA Charterholder and is designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant.
